Boundary Marathon · Day 3 of 10
Food for Thought
Today you are going to look at the words you use and the energy they come with.
Many of you have never been taught how to put healthy boundaries in place. In fact, a great deal of you were punished for saying no or for having boundaries. You learned from a very young age that it was unsafe. So you learned how to say yes when you meant no or to just suck it up.
Then you became an adult. One day you realised it was not working. Maybe you saw something about boundaries while scrolling on your phone, maybe you just felt exhausted and decided it was time.
You need to be so careful that you do not flip from having no boundaries to putting up big, enormous walls that keep people out. The purpose of a boundary is not to keep people out. The purpose of a boundary is to protect you mentally, physically and emotionally.
Personally, I have found that the energy with which I instill a boundary has a lot to do with how it is received. Today, you are going to notice the words you use and become aware of the energy they come with.
