So often, it is so easy for you to be super kind, compassionate, forgiving and graceful to other people. When it comes to yourself, it is a little bit harder.
Today is about noticing and turning up the volume of your self compassion voice.
There is research to prove that how you speak to yourself really does affect the way you feel about yourself. In turn, it shapes the life you create.
Think about the last time you made a mistake or did something you regretted.
What did you say to yourself in that moment?
Write it down exactly as you said it, even if it is not kind.
Take a deep breath.
Now say: “I hear you. However, you are also…”
Finish that sentence three times.
Interrupt the cycle.
Today’s move: catch yourself being self critical at least once today. Pause, take a deep breath, and say “I hear you. However, you are also…” then finish it, out loud or in your head, the same way you just practised.
