GRIT in Five — Day 15
Food for Thought

If you are anything like me all day long, your thoughts probably rattle around in your brain. To do lists, worst case scenarios, predictions, regrets, could haves, should haves, would haves.

A fantastic tool I have learned to use is something called a brain dump. There is something that happens when instead of letting it rattle around, I take it out and look at it. These thoughts breed in the darkness, when brought into the light they lose their power.

Today you are going to experience the relief of doing your very own brain dump.

Get it all out.
You have three minutes. Do not filter, do not organize, just dump it all here.
3:00
Take three deep breaths in.
Breathe out any tension.
Your Affirmation
I’ve felt overwhelmed before, and I’ve gotten through it. If I’ve done it before, I can do it again.
Say it out loud.
Self Care · Mental
Today’s move: whenever your mind starts to feel full again today, remember you always have somewhere to put it down. You do not have to carry it all in your head.

You just made space in your own mind. Tomorrow, we are going to fill some of it back up, on purpose.
