GRIT in Five — Day 13
Food for Thought

Just a little reminder; your brain was not designed to look for what was there and that is why you default to finding what is missing. Training your brain to look for what is there is the same as training a muscle to be strong. It takes time patience and practice and oh my goodness it will be worth it.

The difference in how you feel is chalk and cheese. When you look for what is there you feel full and abundant. When you look for what is missing you feel depleted and empty.

Today you are going to strengthen your gratitude muscle just a little bit more. Regular gratitude practice has been linked to lower cortisol levels meaning it can genuinely reduce stress in the body not just the mind.

Take a few minutes to recognize the good stuff

Things, people, and places you adore:
One thing you’ve worked hard to achieve:
One thing that’s going well right now:
Two people you can count on for warm hugs and kind words:
Three things to look forward to:
What Stood Out For Me

Don’t forget these people in your life, them. You can rely on them, which must mean you are loved.

Always.

Gratitude
Today’s move: use water as an anchor for gratitude. Every time you notice water, whether you hear it, see it, or feel it, say out loud three things you are grateful for. This does not replace your loo gratitude practice, it is an extra anchor on top of it.
Day 13, Complete

Gratitude is not a mood, it’s a muscle and you just did your reps.

Tomorrow you lock in two full weeks of choosing you!
